VER-Clinic is indicated for use by clinicians in clinical settings and for home use by patients. Patients and clinicians use the IDM100 integrated medical tablet to interact in person or remotely via secure video conference. The IDM100 also stores and synchronizes patient data to Electronic Medical Records. When a Virtual Exam is conducted with the IDM100, the clinician can remotely view the patient’s diagnostic data in real time with the clinical accuracy of an in-office exam.

Currently, when there is an onboard medical emergency for a commercial aircraft, the default call is to divert the plane and declare an emergency. This costs the airlines millions of dollars per day... not to mention the inconvenience to the rest of the passengers and knock-on ripple effect to aircrews and aircraft schedules across the country. The divert call is the default, primarily because the Captain is trying to relay second-hand passenger information from a flight attendant to a Doctor at a remote call center. The call center usually has no ability to speak directly to the patient and the Captain cannot leave the cockpit due to Post-9/11 safety regulations. All of this results in a lot of confusion, uncertainty, liability, and inefficiency while trying to deal with the emergency.
But the VER changes all of that. VER eliminates the game of "telephone" between the patient, the flight attendant, the Captain, and the ground call center. Now, a Doctor in the call center can see the patient face-to-face and receive complete, realtime medical diagnostics. The Doctor can also direct the flight attendant to administer specific medications or care from the accompanying First Aid kit. All of which allows the Captain to get back to the job of flying the plane.
